Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a screening checkpoint in Columbus, OH. You will provide courteous customer service, monitor access, screen visitors, and report security concerns to keep the site safe and compliant.

You will work part-time with a flexible schedule, ensuring responsive coverage for healthcare locations. Prior security experience preferred; background checks and a drug screen are required as allowed by law.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in line with laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and clients by carrying out site-specific security procedures and screening protocols.
• Screen individuals entering designated areas according to procedures and communicate screening concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, document observations, and notify site contacts or emergency responders.
• Maintain orderly access points by giving directions, answering questions, and deterring unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeters as assigned.
