The Town of Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for Scorekeeper positions. These positions are seasonal, part-time, and are not benefit eligible.

Scorekeepers will assist with pre-game and post-game maintenance, operate the scoreboard and game clock, track statistics, and report scores to officials. The role requires basic understanding of league rules and strong communication with staff, players, and spectators.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old with Youth Employment Certificate or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• Understand and articulate the rules of the assigned league.
• Keep a scorebook and operate a scoreboard and game clock.
• Communicate positively and effectively with the public, coaches, and officials.
• Assist Gym/Field Supervisors with associated tasks, as needed.

Responsabilités

• Assist with pre-game and post-game maintenance.
• Operate scoreboard.
• Track necessary statistics and score in scorebook.
• Report scores, unacceptable behavior, ejections, and repair information to appropriate official.
• Performs other related tasks as required.
