Job summary

Mad Science in East Meadow, NY is seeking a Children’s Party Entertainer to bring hands-on science fun to kids at parties across Long Island. You’ll perform 45-minute to 1-hour experiments, manage party kits, and engage children with energy and humor.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with Saturdays and Sundays, gas compensation for Suffolk County travel, paid training, and free uniforms, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience with pre-school or elementary-aged children in an interactive setting.
• Reliable transportation to travel to the assigned location.
• Ability to lift materials 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to travel within Nassau and Suffolk counties by vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Instruct interactive 45 minute – 1-hour parties engaging children in an outgoing, personable manner.
• Pick up party kits from our office, based in East Meadow, NY, and arrive to assigned workshops in a punctual manner, setting and cleaning up promptly and efficiently.
• Show up with energy, humor, and silliness to bring the fun and love of science to children!
• Ability to adapt programming to a diverse range of children’s birthday parties and prepare kits accordingly.
