Job summary

Mad Science of Long Island is seeking a Children's Party Entertainer to bring jaw-dropping experiments to life for kids across Long Island. You will lead hands-on labs, spark curiosity, and deliver engaging 45-minute to 1-hour parties in East Meadow and surrounding areas.

This part-time role features a flexible weekend schedule, competitive hourly pay, and on-the-job training with no prior science experience required. Gas reimbursement is provided for travel to Suffolk County.

Qualifications

• Experience with pre-school or elementary-aged children in an interactive setting.
• Reliable transportation able to transport a medium-sized bin to the location you will be instructing.
• Ability to transport and lift materials 30-50 pounds.
• Ability to use vehicle to travel within and service all of Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Responsibilities

• Instruct interactive 45 minute - 1-hour long parties, engaging children in an outgoing, personable manner.
• Pick up party kits from our office, based in East Meadow, NY, and arrive to assigned workshops in a punctual manner, setting and cleaning up promptly and efficiently.
• Show up with energy, humor, and silliness to bring the fun and love of science to children!
• Ability to adapt programming to a diverse range of children's birthday parties and prepare kits accordingly.
