Job summary

Mad Science of Long Island is seeking a dynamic Children’s Party Entertainer to bring hands-on science to kids at birthday events across Long Island. You will lead engaging science demonstrations, travel to client locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties, and energize children with a fun, educational experience.

This part-time weekend role includes on-site workshops, training, and uniforms. Gas compensation is provided for travel within the county, with no prior science expertise required beyond

Qualifications

Experience with preschool or elementary children in interactive setting.
Reliable transportation to transport a medium-sized bin to the location you will be instructing.
Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and move materials as needed.
Ability to travel within Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Responsibilities

Instruct interactive 45 minute – 1-hour long parties, engaging children in an outgoing, personable manner.
Pick up party kits from our office in East Meadow and arrive punctually to workshops.
Show up with energy, humor, and enthusiasm to bring the fun and love of science to children.
Adapt programming to a diverse range of birthday parties and prepare kits accordingly.
