Job summary

First Student in Niles, MI is hiring a Part Time School Van Driver to start mornings and return students after school. No experience is required; we provide expert training to help you become a safe and professional driver.

You will transport students along designated routes, assist with seating and mobility aids, and maintain safety and cleanliness of the vehicle. Flexible split shifts and opportunities across locations are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a chauffeur's license.
• Age 21 or older.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Excellent communication and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the vehicle to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the vehicle clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
