Job summary

Salter Transportation, Inc. in Newbury, MA is seeking a Part‑Time School Van Driver to transport students to school and events. The role offers a split AM/PM shift on weekdays, with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and a guaranteed minimum hours with weekly pay.

Paid training is provided, no experience required, and there are attendance and referral bonuses. You must be 21+, have 3+ years driving experience, and obtain the 7D Certificate or be willing to train.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record is required.
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, & 7D physical.
• Effective communication in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and use safety equipment as needed.
• Drive assigned routes and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.
