Beacon Mobility in Wilbraham, MA is seeking a Bus Aide to help students board the bus, depart safely, and arrive at their destination. The role supports drivers so they can focus on driving responsibilities, and includes paid classroom and on-the-job training.

The position runs 20–25 hours per week with shifts roughly 5:30am–9:00am and 1:00pm–5:00pm, depending on assigned routes. Beacon Mobility provides a 401(k) plan option, dental, vision, and company-paid life insurance.

Qualifications

• Age 18+.
• Ability to pass background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screen.
• Effective spoken and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students entering and exiting the vehicle, and secure them with seat belts.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance as needed.
• Report unsafe behavior to management and follow corrective steps.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
• Use Van Pool’s two-way radio system to stay connected with the team.
• Assist with installing car seats and booster seats as required.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors.
• Work with school-age children with special needs.
