Job summary

Oakland School for the Arts is seeking a dedicated part-time Speech and Language Pathologist to assess, intervene, and consult with students with speech and language needs. You will collaborate with SPED staff, case managers, and teachers to support access to the educational program and ensure a free and appropriate public education.

Responsibilities include assessments, service delivery across models, IEP participation, and parent/teacher training.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid California SLP credential or California credential with authorization in Language, Speech, and Hearing.
• Current California SLP license issued by the State Board.
• CCC-SLP credential preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments under applicable codes and IDEA.
• Provide a full continuum of speech and language services (articulation, language, pragmatics).
• Develop and monitor social skills groups; track progress to ensure IEP services are implemented.
