Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Social Worker to support a K-8 student population in a school environment near Minneapolis, MN. This contract role is part-time, with one day per week, and schedules typically run from around 7:30/8:00 AM to 1:15/1:30 PM, starting mid to late September to align with student needs.

Responsibilities include delivering social-emotional support, individual and group counseling, crisis management, and collaboration with teachers, families, and staff to remove

Qualifications

• Valid Social Worker licensure appropriate for school settings.
• Experience working with K-8 students, understanding their varying developmental stages.
• Familiarity with providing support and intervention in an academic environment.
• Skills in individual and group counseling, crisis management, and collaboration with educators and families.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver social-emotional support services to K-8 students identified as needing assistance.
• Implement intervention strategies and provide direct counseling, both individually and to groups.
• Work in partnership with teachers, staff, and parents to address barriers to student success.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development of a safe, supportive school climate.
