Job summary

MN Online High School is seeking a compassionate, collaborative School Social Worker to support students’ social, emotional, and mental health in an online learning community. The role is part-time, 5–10 hours per week, providing direct student support, staff consultation, and leadership in schoolwide initiatives promoting belonging and well-being.

The role includes facilitating the GSA and participating in the School Safety Team and other committees, with collaboration across teachers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in social work; master's preferred.
• Minnesota licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience with adolescents in school, mental health, social service, or community settings.
• Knowledge of adolescent social-emotional development and youth mental health.
• Experience supporting diverse student populations and creating safe, connected environments.
• Maintain professional boundaries and student confidentiality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience providing services virtually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students and consultation to staff.
• Lead initiatives to promote belonging, safety, and well-being.
• Facilitate the GSA and participate in the School Safety Team and committees.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and families.
• Support the online learning community in a virtual environment.
