Qualifikationen

• Standard high school diploma or GED testing completion preferred, or completion of Foodservice basic skills test.
• Food service experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Aufgaben

• Assist in the preparation of various foods for cooking and serving.
• Follow recipes to ensure menus are low-fat and healthy.
• Use portion control to evenly portion all foods.
• Implement state/local health codes as they relate to food service.
• Follow all safety regulations.
• Wash dishes, and store them properly.
• Sweep and clean kitchen floors.
• Serve on the serving line.
• Know procedures for operating large and small food service equipment.
• Follow appropriate dress codes to represent school nutrition professionally.
• Clean equipment, kitchen and dining tables as needed.
• Report faulty equipment to School Nutrition Manager.
• Help check in USDA commodities and purchased foods.
• Help unload and store all foods and supplies.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward the job and staff.
• Participate in all in-service training programs.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Possess and maintain required license/certificate as needed.
• Follow scheduling and attendance requirements.
