Job summary

C.C. Griffin Middle in Concord, NC is seeking a School Nutrition Program Probationary Assistant for a 4-hour-per-day, non-exempt position. The role supports the SNP Manager and performs food prep, cashier duties, and daily kitchen tasks in a school cafeteria.

Starting date is to be determined. Salary is $16.07 per hour under NC pay grade NC 01.Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED desirable and general kitchen experience, with ability to stand, lift, and work in a busy kitchen

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serves as a cashier
• Washes and wraps fresh fruit; measures and cups canned fruit.
• Washes and measures ingredients for salads.
• Prepares specialty fruit and assists in vegetable preparation.
• Prepares food for next day; cleans and sanitizes work area.
• Counts money for petty cash, opens register, and reconciles register at end of day.
• Prepares food, washes dishes, cleans up kitchen area.
• Serves food.
• Operates and cleans equipment, including dish room.
• Completes daily records.
• Stocks food and supplies.
