Job summary

Indy Met is seeking a part-time School Nurse to support student health, wellness, and readiness to learn at Indianapolis Metropolitan High School. The role involves direct nursing care, health assessments, care coordination, health education, and emergency response while promoting a safe school environment.

Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting health screenings, developing IHPs/EAPs, coordinating with families and providers, and maintaining confidential health records

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Indiana RN license.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Ability to obtain licensure as required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students as assigned.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and policies.
• Conduct health screenings and required follow-up activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IHPs and EAPs for students with health needs.
• Coordinate care with families, school staff, and community providers.
