Job summary

The role provides nutritious meals in a clean, efficient environment and supports the lunch program for students and staff. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with strong communication and basic food service knowledge

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and understand basic equipment operating and use instructions, standardized recipes, and give and receive general information.
• Physical ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
• Basic knowledge of food service and sanitation practices.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude for completing tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and school meals.
• Clean kitchen in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Store foods properly and rotate stock for timely use.
• Follow safety instructions when using equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
