Job summary

Haggerty School in Cambridge, MA is seeking a part-time Hourly Lunchroom Aide (.34 FTE) to support daily lunch operations and student safety. You will help prepare the cafeteria, distribute lunches, supervise lunch and outdoor recess, and assist with transitions between spaces.

Qualifications

Experience in a multicultural environment and ability to work with diverse students.
Able to support social-emotional growth and celebrate positive behaviors.
Willingness to engage in light cleaning tasks (e.g., wiping tables) and help with lunches.
Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather.
Flexibility and a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

Help prepare the cafeteria for lunch.
Distribute lunches to classrooms.
Supervise lunch and/or outdoor recess.
Remind and redirect students about cafeteria/playground expectations for safe and respectful behavior.
Clean cafeteria tables and reset for the next lunch period.
Engage in play with students during outdoor recess.
Accompany students during transitions between the cafeteria and playground.
Additional related responsibilities as directed by the Principal or Assistant Principal.
