Salem Public Schools - Food and Nutrition Services in Salem, MA is hiring a Food Service Worker for Monday through Friday, 2-5pm (19.5 hours per week). The role reports to the Kitchen Manager and offers a rate set by AFSCME, currently $23.47/hr with a potential $24.91/hr cap.

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, Serve Safe certification (or willingness to become certified), strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Serve Safe Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Some computer knowledge is a plus.
• Good organizational and written/spoken communication skills.
• Must be flexible and able to lift 30 pounds.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Responsabilités

• Safe preparation and handling of food.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Serving of food at serving lines.
• Assisting with record keeping and deposit receipts.
• Operate POS system and handle cash as directed.
