Qualifications

• Proficient in all areas of cooking and food preparation with institutional or commercial background preferred.
• Able to read recipes and calculate ingredient measurements.
• Operate school kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must pass WVDE cook competency test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of work and conduct as directed.
• Prepare foods according to State and Federal guidelines.
• Wash dishes, sweep and mop kitchen area as needed.
• Clean all equipment used in the kitchen.
• Serve food to students and staff.
• Take inventory and restock storage areas as supplies are received.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
