Job summary

York Academy Regional Charter School is seeking an Instructional Library Assistant to support daily library activities and youth programs in a diverse school setting. You will interact with teachers and students, help with selections, and manage library materials.

The role requires high school graduation, experience with children in grades 7-12, and comfort with classroom management and computer systems. Hours are part-time with morning schedules and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement daily charter school library activities throughout the year.
• Assist teachers in identifying and securing educational materials for lessons.
• Assist with selection, purchasing, cataloging, circulation, and inventory of materials.
• Help develop innovative programs for youth in grades 7-12.
• Help students with selecting and checking out books.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the School Library Media Specialist or Director.
