Job summary

Bradley County Schools is seeking a Library Assistant (Gen) – Part-Time, Interim to support the school media center. Under supervision of a certified staff member, you will help students access instructional materials and use library resources.

The role emphasizes assisting with reading and language arts support, maintaining circulation records, and operating AV equipment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or higher, or 48 college hours, or an associate’s degree; prior work with

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of college level coursework or passing of examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
Prior experience working with children desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist students in locating reference and instructional materials.
Reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, media and other skills.
Maintain the circulation desk operations and circulation files.
Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
Operate audio visual equipment as needed.
Assist in cataloging and filing learning materials.
Construct, copy, distribute and use educational materials.
