Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a part-time COOK at Monte Vista Christian School in Watsonville, CA. The role requires prior customer service experience and at least 3 years of cooking experience, with a schedule Mon, Tue, Fri 10:00 am–6:30 pm and a fixed pay rate of $26 per hour.

As a member of Flik Independent School Dining, you will prepare meals following HACCP standards, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support service with accurate portioning and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and 3 years of cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen; operates and maintains equipment as instructed.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies; reports maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
