Job summary

Town of Fairfield is seeking a part-time Health Aide to support the school health services team. The role includes assisting the school nurse, handling first aid, phone calls to families and providers, and keeping health records up to date.

Responsibilities include screenings, emergencies, clerical tasks, and collaboration with the health department. Requires good communication, organization, and computer skills; CPR/AED/First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Associates degree from an accredited college preferred.
• Experience in health, child care or office management desired.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide minor first aid according to protocol and assist with emergencies.
• Input, maintain and generate health records and reports as directed.
• Phone parents and health providers; cover health office in nurse's absence.
• Assist with screenings and daily living activities as assigned.
• Perform clerical tasks: notices, health plans, filing and records retrieval.
• Support health department initiatives as a team member.
