Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools in Norwalk, CT seeks a Health Services Assistant at Norwalk High School for 2026-2027. You work with the school nurse to address student health needs and support the school health program.

Responsibilities include assisting with first aid and CPR, maintaining health records, communicating with staff and parents, and ensuring compliance with district policies. 30 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, with pay $27.70/hour and limited benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in an emergency or crisis.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the school health program with the nurse.
• Perform first aid and CPR in emergencies.
• Maintain and update student health records and immunization data.
• Coordinate with staff and parents regarding student health needs.
• Input and generate health office reports as needed.
