Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker in Olivet, Michigan, at Olivet Community Schools (255 First Street, Olivet, MI 49076). The role involves preparing, presenting and serving food with emphasis on safety and accuracy. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 1:30 pm; online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• Prior school nutrition knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner; resolves concerns.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
