Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Constantine, MI is hiring for part-time Food Service Worker positions. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required, with a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour. Online applications accepted only at Constantine Public Schools.

As part of Chartwells K-12, you will prepare, present and serve food, follow safety standards, and maintain sanitation and stock control while supporting a positive dining experience for students.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform duties in an educational facility and follow safety procedures.
• Part-time schedule Mondays–Fridays 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work: washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays between stations and storage areas.
• Stores food following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Ensures proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolves concerns.
