Job summary

Richmond Senior High in Rockingham, NC is seeking a Custodian (Part-time) for 5.5 hours per day to maintain clean and safe school facilities. The role reports to the School Principal and is a 10-month assignment with a starting date of immediately.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of cleaning experience, a valid NC driver’s license, and either a bus license or willingness to take the RCS bus driver class within 45 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of housekeeping/cleaning experience.
• Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must have a current bus license or be willing to take the RCS bus driver class within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains school facilities, floors, restrooms, windows, and furnishings.
• Performs grounds-keeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, raking, and debris removal.
• Opens/closes buildings and manages custodial supplies.
• Executes minor repairs and reports major repairs to the principal.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.
