Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain cleanliness and safe conditions across school facilities. The role requires performing custodial duties per district standards and supporting the safety and operation of classrooms, hallways, and common areas.

Drug and alcohol testing is required during first 3 months for new hires. Applicants should have working knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning procedures, with high school education or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as required by district standards
• Perform many diversified tasks each day to maintain the cleanliness and safe condition of the schools
• Operate custodial power equipment
• Assist in moving equipment and furniture as required
• Regular and on-time attendance required
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
• Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools
