Job summary

St. Bernard School is seeking a reliable custodial worker to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This part-time role requires thorough cleaning to keep classrooms, bathrooms, and public spaces safe, functional, and presentable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
• Experience with school facilities or custodial work preferred.
• Must pass background check and Safe Environment Training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily cleaning activities of classrooms, bathrooms, and public spaces.
• Maintain, service, clean and store equipment properly.
• Complete regular custodial tasks and respond to facilities requests in a timely manner.
• Undertake occasional custodial tasks (snow shoveling, moving chairs and tables, etc.)
• Set up/take down for school and parish events, including A/V equipment.
• Collaborate with team during renovations and coordinate deep cleaning in summer.
• Report to Principal and Pastor regarding issues and progress.
• Other duties as assigned by Principal and Pastor
