Job summary

West Lawn Elementary is seeking an Assistant Custodian to support daily cleaning and maintenance of the school facilities. This 4-hour per day position runs from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, year-round, with a training wage of $18.53 per hour. Prior custodial experience is preferred but not required.

The role involves cleaning rooms, halls, cafeterias, restrooms, and offices; sweeping and waxing floors; handling deliveries; and assisting with snow removal and grounds-keeping as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices to district standards.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors and clean carpets.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events.
• Receive deliveries and assist in storing supplies.
• Snow removal and grounds-keeping duties as needed.
