Job summary

Plattsmouth Community Schools is seeking an Assistant Custodian at West Lawn Elementary. The 4-hour daily position runs year-round (12 months) from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a training wage of $18.53 per hour. Under supervision, you will perform general cleaning, maintenance, and assist with various building tasks.

Responsibilities include securing the building, cleaning diverse areas, handling light repairs, delivering supplies, and supporting events. Prior custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous custodial experience desirable.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's license or own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at start and end of shifts.
• Clean floors, rooms, restrooms, and offices per standards.
• Replace light bulbs and maintain equipment.
• Set up and break down chairs, tables and equipment.
• Assist with grounds-keeping and snow/ice removal.
• Receive deliveries and transport supplies to classrooms.
