Job summary

Blair Community Schools is seeking a dependable Part-Time Custodian to join our maintenance team at the Administration Building in Blair, Nebraska. This role is approximately 20 hours per week, starting immediately, and focuses on keeping classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

Ideal candidates are punctual, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and able to lift and move supplies.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to follow directions and established procedures.
• Ability to safely perform routine custodial duties, including lifting and moving supplies and equipment.
• Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work effectively around students, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Clean and maintain floors and other building surfaces.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up areas for school activities and events.
• Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned.
