Seminole County Sheriff's Office is seeking a part-time School Crossing Guard to ensure safe crossings for school children, parents, and citizens. You will follow FDOT guidance and department directives while using proper equipment to be highly visible during crossings.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, a valid Florida driver's license, and availability Monday through Friday in morning and afternoon shifts. Training, background checks, and mandatory attendance are included.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all training and certification(s) as a condition of employment.
• Ability to be aware of surroundings at all times and report suspicious activity when applicable.
• Provides education for students and parents on safe crossing procedures when needed.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the safety of pedestrians at school crossings.
• Assist children and parents in crossing streets safely.
• Follow FDOT guidelines and department policies.
• Maintain visibility with mandatory equipment (stop paddle, vest, whistle).
• Communicate clearly to pedestrians and motorists about crossing rules.
• Attend required training and comply with overtime needs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
