Job summary

Mastery Schools is seeking a Part-time Classroom Counselor to support students with emotional and behavioral challenges in both special and general education settings. You will provide small-group academic support, model positive behaviors, and help create a structured, inclusive classroom environment under the PBS framework.

The role requires an Associate degree or 60 college credits (ParaPro preferred); experience with adolescents is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or 60 college credits) or ParaPro exam passed.
• Experience with adolescents in school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group academic support and reinforce strategies.
• Teach and reinforce positive behaviors for self-regulation.
• Build relationships with students, staff and families.
• Collect and maintain behavioral data to track progress.
• Assist in de-escalating crises and implement interventions.
• Collaborate on PBS plans to create structured environments.
• Work with team to promote an inclusive classroom culture.
• Perform additional duties to support school needs.
