The Baker Center for Children and Families in Boston seeks a Classroom Behavior Specialist/Milieu Counselor to support students with behavioral needs through positive interventions and data-driven planning.

You will supervise students, document daily behavior, and assist in implementing behavior support plans, collaborating with a small multidisciplinary team.

This full-time, 10-month role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of related experience working with children/adolescents.
• Ability to lead and manage in crisis situations.
• Flexible and able to respond to behavioral challenges quickly and safely.
• Strong communication, behavioral support skills, empathy, and curiosity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural sensitivity.

Responsabilités

• Provide active supervision inside and outside the classroom.
• Use positive behavior interventions and build relationships to support students.
• Collect and analyze daily behavioral data and complete necessary reports.
• Support in the implementation of behavior support plans and crisis intervention when needed.
