Job summary

Dracut Public Schools seeks part-time Cafeteria Workers to support daily food service in a school setting. Duties include meal prep, serving, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safe food handling for students and staff. You will set up serving lines, restock, and assist with events, with supervision from the Cook/Manager.

Required are the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for a 3-hour shift, and a willingness to work in a team. Citizenship or work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for a 3 hour shift.
• Experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of breakfast and lunch meals.
• Serve food according to portion and nutrition guidelines.
• Set up and break down serving lines and dining areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and cafeteria.
• Follow proper food safety and handling procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, warmers).
• Restock food, supplies, and condiments as needed.
• Provide friendly and respectful customer service to students and staff.
• Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal.
• Support special events, catering, or school functions as needed.
