Job summary

Anchorage School District is seeking a part-time Elementary School Cafeteria Manager I for Eagle Academy Charter. The role is 9 months per year, 5.5 hours per day, with a .6875 FTE. Pay ranges from $19.74 to $20.78 per hour, DOE, and includes a retirement association with PERS.

Responsibilities include managing food inventories, ensuring meal preparation on schedule, and maintaining HACCP and NSLP compliance. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and relevant food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of related work experience may substitute education.
• One year of food service experience in general food preparation, handling, and sanitation.
• Proficiency in cashiering and Microsoft Office; basic math skills.
• Must attend ASD Serving It Safe course and pass exam within 21 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage all food and supply inventories; oversee ordering and production records.
• Perform daily meal preparation planning for estimated student numbers.
• Monitor kitchen temperatures and HACCP compliance; ensure food safety practices.
• Maintain NSLP compliance for Free and Reduced meals and accurate records.
• Direct and supervise kitchen staff and assign duties; ensure timely meal service.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and the public.
