The position requires standing for extended periods, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and a cooperative attitude with staff and Nutri-Serve employees. Weekend time is flexible and shifts are daytime.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of meals and the setup of the cafeteria.
• Checks with Kitchen Manager for daily preparation work assignments.
• Assists in the preparation of daily menus.
• Assists in the set up of napkins, serving utensils, student lunch trays and condiments.
• Sets up daily snacks on the cafeteria line.
• Assists in checking food shipments into the school and signs invoices after verification.
• Assists in determining the amount of food to be prepared daily.
• Serves students nutritious, attractive meals in a friendly manner.
• Works on a rotating basis in kitchen and on the register as directed.
• Maintains serving lines and promotes a friendly customer service atmosphere.
• Completes general housekeeping duties to maintain cafeteria cleanliness.
• Counts, deposits, and inputs daily sales in the POS system.
• Maintains accurate student records in POS if applicable.
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly POS reports if required.
