Job summary

Regis Corporation is hiring a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a friendly, efficient environment for students. You will handle related paperwork, operate the POS, and support daily operations in the cafeteria.

Qualifications

• Pass state-required background check and fingerprinting to work in NJ schools.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive approach.
• Patience and the ability to maintain a caring attitude towards children.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to interact successfully with customers and Nutri-Serve employees.
• Knowledge of food preparation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and the setup of the cafeteria.
• Check with Kitchen Manager for daily preparation work assignments.
• Assist in the preparation of daily menus.
• Assist in the set up of napkins, serving utensils, student lunch trays and condiments.
• Sets up daily snacks on the cafeteria line.
• Assist in checking food shipments into the school and verify invoices.
• Assist in determining the amount of each food to be prepared daily.
• Serves nutritious meals in a friendly manner.
• Work on a rotating basis in kitchen and on the register.
• Maintain clean serving lines and promote a friendly customer atmosphere.
• Complete housekeeping duties to maintain cafeteria cleanliness.
• Input prepayment and daily sales; post deposits; back up data daily.
• Assist with POS and student records as needed.
