Job summary

Uplift Ascend Preparatory is seeking a Part Time Cafeteria Worker to assist in preparing and serving meals in a school setting. The role emphasizes portion control, food safety, and customer service as part of daily cafeteria operations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and experience in school food service. A Food Handler Permit is desired and safety procedures must be followed to ensure compliance with USDA/TDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bilingual ability to read, write and understand instructions in English.
• Familiarity with basic software, POS systems, clock-in/out processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general kitchen tasks and food preparation.
• Cook and prepare meals according to the menu and schedules.
• Serve food and ensure proper portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Follow safety guidelines and sanitation standards.
• Assist with cash handling and transactions as needed.
