Pendleton County School District Transportation in Butler, Kentucky is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to provide safe student transportation on designated routes, including the loading and unloading of students and assisting handicapped riders as needed. Responsibilities include daily inspections, timely departures/arrivals, and maintaining orderly conduct on the bus.

This is a part-time position requiring a valid Kentucky CDL with passenger endorsement and completion of required safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year of motor vehicle operation experience preferred.
• Valid Kentucky Commercial Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement; School Bus Certificate; driving record check required.
• Knowledge of pupil transportation safety rules and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on designated routes according to time schedules and regulations.
• Load and unload students, including assisting handicapped students when necessary.
• Perform daily bus inspections and basic maintenance; report mechanical issues.
• Maintain student order and discipline on the bus per district procedures.
• Keep accurate records of routes, incidents, and student transport information.
• Participate in safety drills and maintain clean interior and exterior of the bus.
