Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• Ability to pass DOT alcohol and drug tests and annual physical.
• Ability to complete required bus driver safety training.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use maps and GPS to follow routes.
• Ability to manage student behavior.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to operate bus.

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus daily on assigned route and adhere to schedules.
• Drive to and from extracurricular activities as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and fuel levels.
• Report accidents, damage, injuries, and mechanical problems.
