Job summary

The Village School in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to transport students and staff to designated locations and field trips. You will perform safety checks, maintain schedules, and follow all traffic laws and school policies to ensure student welfare.

Qualifications include a valid CDL with P and S endorsements, First Aid/ CPR certification, English communication skills, and the ability to pass a background check and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL with P (Passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsements.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Successful experience as a School Bus Driver.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR for all age groups transported.
• Ability to pass annual School Bus Driver’s physical examination.
• Must complete background check and drug testing as required by the school/state.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus to transport students and staff to designated locations and field trips.
• Complete comprehensive written bus inspections daily and report any concerns.
• Maintain a timetable and follow efficient bus routes to keep to schedule.
• Adhere to traffic laws and school policies for student safety.
• Ensure all students are accounted for and no one is left on board at end of routes.
