Job summary

Minnesota Coaches is seeking a dedicated school bus driver to transport passengers along designated routes while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires strong English communication, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and individuals with special needs.

The driver will perform pre/post-trip inspections, assist passengers, maintain records, and ensure compliance with traffic laws.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in school bus driving preferred, but not required.
• Basic mechanical understanding for pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Previous childcare or working with children is an advantage.
• Must pass background checks as required by company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain records of passenger counts, mileage, and incidents.
• Communicate with dispatchers and team about route changes or needs.
• Provide excellent customer service to all passengers.
