First Student is hiring experienced Part Time School Bus Drivers in Warren, MI. You will start mornings with student pickups and transport them home in the afternoon, with potential hours for field trips and events.

Requirements include valid CDL-B, Passenger and School Bus endorsements, no air brake restriction, DOT compliance, and background checks. A part-time, flexible schedule is offered with opportunity for advancement across 540 locations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-B license required.
• Passenger (P) endorsement required.
• School Bus (S) endorsement required.
• No air brake restriction or able to operate vehicles with air brakes.
• PDDP/Drug & Alcohol Program compliant.
• Able to pass background screening.
• Meet DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or student behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
