Job summary

Southwest Washington Learning Center is seeking a reliable non-CDL bus driver to transport school-age children to and from Vancouver schools. This part-time role offers a consistent schedule with morning and/or afternoon routes.

Responsibilities include safety-focused driving, supervision of children, and maintaining transport logs. Washington State requirements, clean driving record, and background checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet Washington State requirements for transporting children in childcare setting.
• Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age of 21 per childcare transportation standards.
• Ability to pass DCYF background check and meet pre-service trainings.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from designated Vancouver schools using a 15-passenger bus.
• Ensure children are properly supervised during loading, transport, and unloading.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate attendance and transportation logs.
• Communicate professionally with staff, families, and school personnel.
• Follow all Washington State and center safety policies and procedures.
