Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Valid Texas CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Current Texas DPS School Bus Driver Certification.
• Clean driving record and insurability under school policy.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a school bus in compliance with laws and policies.
• Transport students to athletic events, field trips, and activities.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports.
• Maintain order and safety on the bus and assist students.
• Record mileage, routes, and maintenance needs accurately.
• Communicate professionally with parents, students, faculty, and administrators.
• Attend safety trainings and meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and school matters.
