Job summary

First Student in South Windsor, CT is seeking part-time school bus drivers to start mornings with pickups and return students home in the afternoon. Additional hours for field trips or events may be available. No experience is necessary; we provide expert training and guidance to help you become a safe, professional driver.

You will drive students, supervise boarding, and ensure safety while following DOT and company standards. Join a mission-driven team serving 540 locations across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Excellent safety and customer service mindset.
• Ability to work part-time with split AM/PM shifts and weekdays only.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
