Job summary

First Student Bethel, CT is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver to start mornings and afternoons, with potential for field trips. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.

You will help ensure a safe, reliable ride for students and support the First Student mission. As a driver, you’ll supervise boarding and unloading, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and coordinate with parents and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to safely transport students and manage bus routines.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
