Job summary

First Student in Pawtucket, RI is hiring for a Part-Time School Bus Driver. You will start and end the school day with safe student transport, with opportunities for field trips and events.

No experience is necessary; we provide expert training to help you obtain a CDL and drive with confidence. Positions offer an hourly rate of $34.00, with training hourly rate $16.00, and a guaranteed minimum of 4.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with mornings/evenings, weekdays only; summers off.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
