Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver in Monmouth Junction, NJ. You’ll start mornings with student pickups and return them home after school, with field trips and events possible.

No experience is required; we provide expert training to help you become a safe, professional First Student driver. CDL training is included, and you’ll earn competitive hourly rates with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Willingness to obtain CDL training and licensing.
• Comfortable working with students and supervising routines.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
